Cochran-Bleckley United Givers Fund, Inc.
2007-2008 Campaign Report and 2007 Statement of Account
The Cochran-Bleckley United Givers Fund is pleased to announce that the 2007-2008 campaign contributions currently total $14,764. Contributions are now 41.8% ($4,352) higher than last year, and we have raised over 70% of our $20,000 goal.
This has been a VERY successful campaign thanks to all of our generous donors.
United Givers has participated in the State Charitable Contributions Program for many years, but this was the first year that we participated in the Combined Federal Campaign. Both campaigns were very successful, bringing in donations of $886 (net) from Federal employees and $3284 (gross) from State employees. Local payroll deduction donations were received from Citizens Bank of Cochran, the City of Cochran, Bleckley County, and the Bleckley County Board of Education and totaled $7,637. Individual donations for the 2007-2008 campaign totaled $2,957.
The local charitable organizations that United Givers supports requested $21,190 for 2007. As shown below, United Givers was able to allocate $9,855 to the organizations, nearly half of the amount they requested. This includes disbursement of $1,530 of the $2000 grant check United Givers received from the Boeing Employees Community Fund. (The remaining grant funds were disbursed, but the check had not cleared as of December 31, 2007.)
The Boeing grant money was distributed to Communities in Schools and Family Connection, the Bleckley Senior Center, and the Cochran-Bleckley Fire Department for special projects.
