The Cochran-Bleckley United Givers Fund is governed by a board comprised of community leaders from Bleckley County: 2009 - 2010 Board Members Nan Anderson, Kathy Baldwin, Agnes Berryhill, Eric Bisher, Lisa Chastain, Philis Evans, Suzi Gough, Jason Little, Mike Lucas, Khaki Mathis, Rebecca Nees, Susan Osler, Brandy Perry, Donna Smith, Regina Smith and Scott Warren (Campaign Chair). Marcia Manning of the Cochran-Bleckley Chamber of Commerce is the Administrative Assistant for UGF.

Cochran-Bleckley Arts Alliance -- promotes appreciation of the arts. The Alliance cooperates with the local school system and with Middle Georgia College to make art accessible in Bleckley County. Bleckley County Department of Family and Children Services -- provides emergency assistance to individuals, children and families in Bleckley County. They also provide enrichment activities (camp, recreation, and /or cultural activities) for children and families who could not enjoy these experiences otherwise. Bleckley Senior Center -- supports our seniors with meals, fellowship, nutritional guidance, crafts, and outings. They also provide meals to homebound seniors through the Meals on Wheels Program. Bleckley County 4-H -- is a youth-development program whose objectives are to help our children develop a desire to gain knowledge, skills and attributes through real-life experiences; to learn how to make decisions; to improve their skills in leadership, communication and self expression; to strengthen their personal standards and citizenship ideals; and to develop a concern for involvement in community and public affairs. Bleckley County Band Boosters -- maximizes the effectiveness of school efforts to provide music education and constructive extracurricular activities by providing funding above and beyond the limits of the Board of Education. Bleckley County Hospital Auxiliary -- the Pink Ladies volunteer at our local hospital seeking to meet the needs of the hospital, to help the staff in any way possible, and to serve patients and their families to make hospital stays as pleasant as possible. CADA, Inc. (Citizens Against Drug Abuse) -- supports Bleckley County schools with funding for drug awareness programs that they could not provide otherwise. Cochran-Bleckley Fire Department -- works to ensure that every household in Bleckley County has at least one working smoke detector. They donate smoke detectors to seniors and low-income households and will even install the detectors if necessary. Cochran-Bleckley Public Library -- provides traditional library services as well as literacy oriented programs, public computing resources, and employment information services. Communities in Schools and Family Connection -- works to ensure that children graduate from high school and become productive members of the community. They provide services ranging from the 21st Century Learning Center, to a Health and Hygiene Program for 5th graders, to a coat closet for students needing coats, shoes, socks and underwear. Middle Georgia College Foundation -- provides scholarships for Bleckley County students attending Middle Georgia College. Parent to Parent of Georgia -- supports families with special needs children so that the children can achieve their greatest potential.
